This year, it is fair to say, has already been a stressful one for many of us. You might be hankering yourself for almost any kind of fun, escapism and good news – so how about we share one such piece of good news with you?
That news is, the legendary Hard Rock brand is making its way to Marbella in style – and in a setting that could scarcely be more appropriate.
A formidable heritage in more ways than one
Sometimes, a hotel is ‘just’ a hotel – even on the fabulous Costa del Sol – but that won’t be the case with the new Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, which is set to finally open its doors to guests in June 2022.
Hard Rock International is one of the world’s most instantly recognisable companies, with one of the most distinctive aesthetics. The brand already operates in more than 240 locations around the world, encompassing not only hotels, but also the likes of casinos, shops and live venues.
And in case you were still in any doubt about Hard Rock’s cultural credentials, the company is also renowned for its formidable collection of authentic music memorabilia. It all started with an Eric Clapton guitar, and today, the business has more than 86,000 pieces in its collection, which are displayed across its various locations around the globe.
This brings us neatly onto what the company plans to do with Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, which will be located in buzzing Puerto Banús, just steps away from the Mediterranean Sea – and a mere 50 kilometres, or 31 miles, away from Malaga International Airport. The latter could be a significant detail, for those of you considering making use of our Malaga airport transfers to get to and from this soon-to-be-iconic venue.
In fact, this site is already iconic to everyone who knows and loves the locality. That’s because Hard Rock Hotel Marbella will be situated in the same place as the Andalucía Plaza hotel, which back in the 1970s, was the first hotel in the now world-famous Puerto Banús area.
But it also promises to be a firmly happening destination ‘in the now’
It looks unlikely from everything we have read and heard, though, that Hard Rock Hotel Marbella – once ongoing renovation work on the site is finally complete – will merely rest on the laurels of an illustrious past.
The final hotel is set to boast 384 rooms – including 50 suites – while we also expect to see six on-site dining establishments, including a rooftop terrace incorporating a VIP bar and infinity pool. Needless to say, the views from here of the below Playa Nueva Andalucía promise to be quite something. And that’s before we even start talking about the other sources of opulence, such as the indoor heated pool, gym, sauna, relaxation room, and Rock Spa.
Quite simply, Hard Rock Hotel Marbella – complete with all the bespoke music, art and dance memorabilia from celebrated Spanish artists that is expected to be featured in it – looks set to be a must-not-miss destination.
And if you would like to take advantage of Marbella transfers to and from the hotel and its new restaurants, you know what to do. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Simply Shuttles, so that we can help make your next visit to the Costa del Sol convenient and memorable for all the finest reasons.
